Legacy CLC is proud of the strong community support it received for its vision in redeveloping Garrison Crossing, and for its efforts to commemorate the military legacy and history of the site.
In the spring of 2006, CLC officially opened the first phase of the Legacy Walk at its Garrison Crossing development in Chilliwack, B.C. The Legacy Walk loops through Garrison Crossing and pays tribute to the role the Canadian military played in Chilliwack’s history.
The opening ceremony included a procession along the Legacy Walk, led by the local Legion’s Colour Party and 30 flag-carrying veterans. This was followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate Sappers Way, a major new street in the community.
